Coaching & Artistic Team

We regularly seek versatile educators and artistic visionaries to fill a variety of short term and long term positions.

Our coaches must be able and willing to teach a variety of levels across all of our programs: Basic and Advanced Youth, Outreach, Recreational Adult, Discipline Intensive, and Professional Track, a four to nine month commitment. Adaptive teaching experience to meet the needs for all bodies is a plus.

Admin Team

Our Admin Team, many of whom are artists themselves, bring their organizational skills and “behind the scenes” experiences to support and sustain the mission of NECCA. Roles include Reception, Residency Host, Show Support, Event Staff, Facility & Rigging Support and Program Assistants and Program Directors. *Coaches who wish to have a more full time and long term position affecting real change in the life of our students are encouraged to see themselves in an administrative capacity in Youth Programs, Adult Programs and our ProTrack Program.

NECCA is currently led by the Strategic Advancement Team (SAT), a group of five leaders who collectively guide the organization. NECCA seeks a dynamic, analytical, and systems-minded Executive Assistant to support the SAT team.

This is not your average assistant role—we’re looking for someone who is equal parts organizational backbone, strategic thinker, and project coordination star. The ideal candidate is both grounded in the day-to-day and capable of zooming out to support long-term planning, with strong communication, computer, and editing skills, comfort with public speaking, and a sharp eye for structure and efficiency.

This role is essential to helping NECCA grow and evolve. If you are punctual, detail-driven, and thrive on developing systems, navigating shifting priorities, and advising on strategy without becoming attached to any one solution—this role is for you.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about organization systems. While experience across multiple productivity software systems is preferred, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t have direct experience with these. We are open to candidates with a range of backgrounds and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the SAT team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, internal communications, and priority tracking.
  • Coordinate on- and off-boarding procedures.
  • Coordinate staff review process procedures and timing.
  • Coordinate payroll management software (Gusto) related uploads and tracking.
  • Shape and maintain systems for organizational structure, communication flow, project tracking, and documentation.
  • Coordinate multiple timelines: maintaining immediate task flow while supporting long-range planning and strategic development.
  • Draft, edit, and polish internal and external communications, reports, presentations, and proposals.
  • Help develop and maintain systems that clarify job roles, departmental responsibilities, and accountability structures.
  • Support the budgeting and finance team with light analysis, spreadsheet work, and financial documentation; must be comfortable reading a budget and spotting trends.
  • Serve as an advisor and sounding board on project design and team function, offering perspective and clarity across shifting priorities.
  • Facilitate leadership team meetings, including agenda creation, notetaking, time tracking, and follow-up task organization.
  • Provide light systems coaching and planning support across departments.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead presentations, meetings, and internal briefings—clarity and presence in communication are key.
  • Organize logistics for events such as board retreats, social events, and alumni events.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Exceptionally organized, punctual, and calm under shifting demands.
  • Exceptionally discreet due to access to private, confidential information.
  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong systems development mindset with a clinical, non-attached approach to organizational structure and workflow.
  • Able to see both granular details and the big picture—comfortable balancing day-to-day with strategic planning.
  • Confident speaking and presenting to groups, both online and in person.
  • Nimble, solutions-focused mindset; able to adapt without personal alignment to any one idea or individual.
  • Comfortable advising or guiding individuals and teams in a constructive, supportive way.
  • Financial fluency: able to read and understand budgets and basic financials.
  • Sense of humor!

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Prior experience in arts administration, nonprofit management, or creative environments.
  • Familiarity with project management and productivity platforms (e.g., Trello, Google Suite, Gusto, Airtable, Basecamp, ChatGPT, Gemini).
  • Experience supporting senior leadership and/or Boards of Directors.
