Bringing Circus to everyone

Outreach & Community Programs

At NECCA, we believe circus is for everyone. Our outreach and community programs are an extension of our mission to create joyful, empowering, and inclusive experiences through circus arts—meeting people where they are and removing barriers to participation.

Through partnerships, performances, and free community events, we share the physical, creative, and social benefits of circus with people of all ages and abilities across our region.

SilverCircus & Community Partnerships

Our SilverCircus program brings age‑affirming circus arts to older adults, supporting balance, coordination, creativity, and social connection. We collaborate with local libraries, senior centers, and community organizations to offer workshops, demonstrations, and ongoing programs designed for accessibility, curiosity, and fun.

SilverCircus celebrates lifelong movement and proves that it’s never too late to try something new!

ProTrack Performances in Elder Care Settings

NECCA’s ProTrack students regularly share their work beyond our walls, presenting intimate circus performances in elderly homes and nursing centers. These shows create moments of connection, wonder, and shared experience, bringing live performance directly to audiences who may not otherwise have access to it.

For our students, this work reinforces circus as a tool for service, empathy, and community engagement.

Free Community Events

We are proud to offer free, public-facing circus experiences that invite the broader community to engage with our students and programs. Recent and ongoing collaborations include:

  • Student demonstrations during the Brattleboro First Fridays
  • Free performances and activities at the Vermont Circus Festival
  • Open community demos, pop‑ups, and celebratory events throughout the year
  • Free community shows through collaboration with the Brattleboro Park & Rec Department

These events are designed to be welcoming, accessible, and joyfu! Often serving as a first introduction to circus arts for new audiences.

Let’s work together!

NECCA offers both existing outreach programs and the ability to co‑create custom experiences tailored to your community, audience, or organization. Whether you’re interested in workshops, performances, residencies, or collaborative events, we’d love to explore what’s possible.
